Trees toppled in Carvers Bay from storm

  • Wednesday, July 17, 2013

The damage in the Carvers Bay area from this afternoon's storm is now not believed to have been caused by a tornado. A first responder on the scene said it looked like possible tornado damage. After checking the Carvers Bay and Pee Dee communities, this is the only damage that has been found. These trees in the driveway at 9846 Carvers Bay Road were toppled. It is believed a combination of lightning and heavy winds caused the damage. No other damage has been found.
