Georgetown County Sheriff’s Deputies have taken into custody 22-year-old Jimmie Singletary of Kingstree. He is charged him with Purse Snatching.
Singletary was wanted in connection with a May 10 incident which occurred at Pawleys Island bakery 10517 Ocean Highway. The incident involved a suspect who requested change and once the cash register was open, the suspect reached into the drawer and removed an undisclosed amount of currency. The suspect then fled the scene on foot in a south bound direction. No weapon was displayed and no threat of force was implied.
Singletary was taken into custody in Williamsburg County and transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center on Friday. Singletary is currently being held under a $3,000.00 cash/surety bond.
