Pizza Hut is coming back to Georgetown later this year with a new look. The Church Street restaurant was gutted by fire in December but plans have now been submitted to the Georgetown Building and Planning Department for approval, according to planner Rick Martin. The plans will be considered by the Board of Zoning Appeals on June 12. Once the approval is granted, work will begin on the new building. Martin said owners want to have the new restaurant open “as soon as possible.” Although the design is different, the restaurant will be the same size as the current building.
