Audrey G. Parson, age 65, of Andrews, S.C.
Ralph Stanley Rogers, 65, the beloved husband of Karen L. “Susie” Rogers of Andrews, departed this life on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Kingstree Regional Hospital.
Mr. Rogers was born the son of Leonard Alton Rogers and Nancy “Nan” Poston Rogers on August 8, 1948.
He was a retired engineer for CSX Railroad Company; a United States Army veteran; was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers; and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Mr. Rogers was an avid outdoorsman who loved farming.
His legacy reveals a man who was proudly called a son and brother, respectfully earned the title of beloved husband and cherished father and grandfather.
Stanley and Susie celebrated 32 years together. Their home was blessed with two children, Stanton Erwin (Teresa) Rogers and Heather Rogers; three grandchildren, Macie, Stanton Jr., and Makinzie.
He is also survived by his mother; and a brother, Raymond R. “Ray” (Cheryl) Rogers.
He was predeceased by his father; and a brother and his wife, Erwin Alton “Coonie” (Pam) Rogers.
Funeral service with Military Honors was held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at New Hope Fellowship Church, directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Interment followed in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, in the Andrews Chapel.
