Wade Carter Jr.
Wade Alonzo Carter Jr., 60, of Andrews, S.C. died Friday, October 12, 2012, at Roper Hospital in Charleston.
Mr. Carter was born in Gastonia, N.C. on August 13, 1952, a son of the late Wade Alonzo Carter, Sr. and Emo Irene Austin Carter.
He grew up in Gastonia and graduated from South Point High School.
Mr. Carter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of South Carolina and was an employee of the S.C. Dept. of Social Services.
He was an avid Gamecock fan and a member of the Georgetown County Gamecock Club.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Watts Carter of Andrews; a daughter, Meredith Carter of Rock Hill, S.C.; a sister, Irene Hull (Kermit) of Gastonia; and a brother, Miles Carter of Belmont, N.C.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, October 14, 2012, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday evening, October 13, 2012, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.

E. Hay Harrington Jr.
Mr. E. Hay Harrington Jr., 85, of Kingstree, S.C., widower of Trisha Gray Harrington, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012, in The Village at Summerville in Summerville, S.C.
Mr. Harrington was born October 11, 1926, in Kingstree, a son of the late E. Hay Harrington Sr. and Mae Baker Harrington.
He was a graduate of Kingstree High School and was a retired General Contractor.
Hay enjoyed fishing, golfing, morning coffee with his friends at Preacher’s Drug Store, and telling stories of his glory days to his “grands.”
In addition to his parents and his wife Trisha, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Harrington and a sister Louise Smith.
Hay was a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his son, Kim (Teressa) Harrington of Georgetown; his daughter, Faye Harrington (Ronnie) Altman of Pawleys Island; a sister Ellen Weisiger of Charlotte, N.C.; his grandchildren, Chris (Mariane) Harrington of Burlington, N.C., Hayley Altman (Jeremy) Glick of Florence, S.C., Brian (Madison) Altman of Sumter, S.C. and Zac Harrington of Georgetown; and great-grandchildren, Harry Woodbury, Mary Gray Glick, Emma Glick, Elizabeth Altman, Alex Harrington, Jacob Harrington, and Morgan Harrington.
Graveside funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012, in Kingstree Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Williamsburg Funeral Home.
