Ruby Weaver Foxworth, age 88, of Georgetown, widow of Lloyd DeFoe Foxworth, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Tidelands Community Hospice.
Born February 26, 1925, in Hemingway, SC, Mrs. Foxworth was the daughter of the late Robert James and Eva Avant Weaver.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Georgetown and taught Sunday School for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Ron (Sarah) Foxworth of Wilson’s Mills, N.C. and Ricky (Tammy) Foxworth of Georgetown; grandchildren, Tracy (Cooper) Bishop, Gene (Marie) Foxworth, Meg (Brian) Langston, Shawn (Biz) Foxworth, Clay (Amanda) Foxworth and Travis Foxworth; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Janie Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Foxworth was predeceased by brothers, Clarence Weaver, Ben Weaver, and David Weaver; and sisters, Nita Hill, and Leila Venters.
Funeral services, conducted by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment followed in the Garden of Devotion cemetery.
The family received friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
