Catherine Dorn

Catherine Regina Dorn, 55, of Georgetown died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Dorn was born in Georgetown on November 7, 1957, a daughter of the late Martin “Mose” Harold Dorn and Evelyn Ray Groverman Dorn.  
She lived all her life in Georgetown and was a graduate of Winyah Academy and the University of South Carolina.  
Ms. Dorn worked for the S.C. State Employment Security Commission, where she retired after over 30 years of employment.  
She was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church and an avid Gamecock fan.
Surviving are two sisters, Donna Dorn and T-Ann Dorn, both of Georgetown; an aunt, Peggy Lautenbach of W. Palm Beach, Fla.; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning, July 16, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church.  
Officiating will be Pastor Ronald G. Hartman and Pastor Arden Hallman.  
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday evening, July 15, 2013, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.

Craig Lambert

Craig Burdell Lambert, 40, passed away on July 13, 2013.
Born on April 6, 1973, in Sumter, he was a son of Birdell Woodrow Lambert and Mary Daisy Johnson Lambert.
Mr. Lambert enjoyed building boats, fishing and shrimping.
Survivors include his mother and father of Georgetown; two uncles, Thomas Lambert (Gina) of Litchfield and David Forbes of Georgetown; seven aunts, Evelyn Lambert (Roosevelt) of Georgetown, Ann McKenzie (David) of Andrews, Patsy Ward (Glen) of Andrews, Joyce Forbes (Johnny) of Georgetown, Bonnie Seat (Barney) of Georgetown, Theresa Hamilton (Kirk) of Dillon and Donna Washington of Georgetown; three nieces, Amber Jordan (Timothy) of Conway, Ashlee Wilkes of Murrells Inlet and Amy Smith (Bryan) of Murrells Inlet; and a special cousin, Kevin Lambert (Angel) of Woodruff.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy M. Wilkes; a half-brother, Arthur Etheridge Jr.; paternal grandparents, Sam W. Lambert and Elizabeth E. Lambert; maternal grandmother, Florence Williams; a maternal great-grandmother, Mary E. Langdale; and one aunt, Jean Forbes.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Frist Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Sherrill officiating.
Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at First Baptist Church.

Mary Long

Mary Ann Powell Long, 71, of Andrews, the wife of Glennie Lee Long, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital.
Mrs. Long was born the daughter of Fletcher Powell and Annie Sue Glisson Powell on November 24, 1941 in Johnsonville.  
She committed her life to acts of selfless giving for her family, and an unconditional love to earn her the distinguished title — Beloved Mother.
Mary Ann and Glennie were married in 1958 and celebrated 54 years together.  
Their home was blessed with four children, Lorie Ann (Jerry Coker) Taylor, Jacqueline Lee Long, Tony Glen (Vickie Moore) Long, and Patty (Kenneth Cooper) Long; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  
She also leaves behind two brothers, Donald “Hoodie” Powell and John “Tit” Powell; and two sisters, Janet “Lulie” Floyd and Delores ”Tooster” Cooper.
She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Bobby “Pete” Powell and Eckerd Powell; and two sisters; Doris Mae P. Collins and Margie P. Marshall.
A graveside service will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in the Ivey Cemetery, directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday evening, July 15, 2013 at the Andrews Chapel.

Andrew Salapatek

Andrew Leo Salapatek, 92, widower of Mary Eldridge Edge Salapatek, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Georgetown Health Care and Rehab.
Born on August 15, 1920, in Blue Island, Ill., he was a son of the late John Paul Salapatek and the late Helen Scczensuiak Salapatek.
Mr. Salapatek was a member of Messiah Baptist Church and enjoyed playing golf.
Survivors include two brothers, Frank Salapatek and Mike Salapatek both of Chicago, Ill.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky West officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
