Jannia Cooper

Jannia Bell Cooper 54, of Brooklyn, NY, and formerly of Georgetown, SC died on July 7, 2013 at the Jewish Home life Care Center in New York, NY. Mrs. Cooper was born on February 10, 1959 a daughter of Mr. Wilson Cooper and Mrs. Cora Lee Simmons Cooper.
She attended the public schools of Brooklyn, NY and Brooklyn College where she earned an Associate Degree in Counseling.
For a number of years, until poor health intervened, she was an adult and teen counselor for church avenue merchant block association.
Survivors include: Yvonne S. Dentley, Michael A. Cooper, and Cindy L. Richards all of Georgetown, Deloris E. Moss of Irmo, SC, and Lillian M. Morrison of Baltimore, MD.
Funeral services for Ms. Cooper will be held at Arnett A.M.E. Church at 1p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2013 conducted by the Rev. Barbara Nelson.
Burial will follow in Bethel A.M.E church cemetery. The remains will lie in state in the sanctuary of the church on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 11 a.m. until time of service. Arrangements are entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home

Lilly Cuttino

Lilly Cuttino, 90, of the Hemingway section of Georgetown County died on Tuesday July 9, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Cuttino was born on January 24,1923 to the marital union between Mr. Alexander Rice and Mrs. Eulia Beady Rice (both deceased).
Survivors include her children; Mr. Isiah Cuttino of Moncks Corner, SC., Leroy Cuttino Long Island, NY., John Cuttino of Wilmington, NC., and Arlene Walker of Hemingway, SC.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday July 13, 2013 at Trinity A.M.E church  and conducted by the Rev. McNeil Evans.
Burial will follow in Trinity A.M.E church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday July 12, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Wilds Courtyard Chapel.
The remains will lie in state in the sanctuary of the church on Saturday July 13, 2013 from 11 a.m. until time of service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home.

Charles Fore Jr.

Charles Haselton Fore Jr., 65, of Greenville, Mississippi died on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Mr. Fore was a crane mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents; Charles Haselton Fore, Sr. and Margaret Benton Fore and sister; Jeannie Fore Daniels. He is survived by a son; Charles Gregory (Victoria Ann) Fore, Sr. of Greenville, Mississippi; daughter; Gena Fore (Jeremy) Woods of Greenville, Mississippi; and sister; Terry (Sid) Lambert of Charlotte, NC. Grandchildren ; Tori Clark, Katie Wells, Morgan Fore, J.R. Duncan, Gregory Fore, Jr. Great-grandchild; Nolan Clark. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church, Greenville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Harmony Baptist Church, Greenville, Mississippi. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013 at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, in Cruger, Mississippi. Interment will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, in Cruger, Mississippi.

Loretta Moses

Mrs. Loretta Coley Moses, 69, wife of Deacon Hezekiah Moses of 592 Players Street in the Greentown Section of Georgetown, died on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Moses, a daughter of the late Mr. Wesley Grant and the late Mrs. Evelena Moultrie Grant of Georgetown.
Survivors include her husband Deacon Hezekiah Moses and five children; Mrs. Ophelia Ford of Andrews, SC; Mrs. Vanessa Humes; Dr. Michelle Jenkins and Loretta Cooper all of Georgetown, SC; one son; Elder Dexter Grant of Georgetown, SC; two sisters; Mrs. Mary Julia Grant and Mrs. Almina Wilson both of Georgetown; three brothers; Mr. Harold Grant; Mr. Nathaniel Grant and Mr. William Earl Grant all of Georgetown, SC; two aunts; Mrs. Helen Jiles of Georgetown and Mrs. Queen Geathers of Baltimore, MD; one uncle; Mr. Herbert Moultrie of Long Island, NY; a host of loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Moses were held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Greater Bibleway Church of Georgetown at 1518 Hawkins Street.
Bishop John Smith Pastor, officiated the service and burial followed in Morning Glory Cemetery on Pennyroyal Road in the Sampit Community of Georgetown.
The remains lay in state in the sanctuary of the church fromm 1 p.m. until the hour of service. A viewing was held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Linen-Knox Funeral Home.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Linen-Knox Funeral Home.

Marvin Nettles

Mr. Marvin Nettles, 59, husband of Mrs. Jacqueline Nettles of 1107 Powell Road  in the Sampit Community of Georgetown, died on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his resident.
Mr. Nettles is the son of the late Mr. Roland E. Nettles and the late Mrs. Rosa Bell Nettles of Andrews, SC.
Survivors include his loving wife: Mrs. Jacqueline Nettles of the Santee Community of Georgetown; one daughter; Mrs. Marvette C. Nettles of the Santee Community of Georgetown; two sons; Mr. Darell A. Nettles of the Dunbar Community of Georgetown and Mr. Thomas R. Nettles of Santee Community of Georgetown; three sisters; Mrs. Roberta Nettles Parrish of Lithonia,Ga; Mrs. Loretta Hinton of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Mrs. Coretta Green of Andrews, SC; two brothers; Mr. Dennis Nettles of Waco, TX and Mr. Ronnie Nettles of Myrtle Beach, SC; a special aunt; Ms. Willie Mae Biggs of Andrews, SC; one uncle; Mr. James Alfred of Hephzibah,Ga.; and a host of loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements entrused to Linen-Knox Funeral Home.

Arthur Wolf

 Arthur Otto Wolf, 86, of Andrews, S.C., died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Georgetown Memorial Hospital.  
He was born on September 12, 1926 in Queens, NY, a son of the late Otto and Anna Carlson Wolf.  
He was a salesman in carpet and flooring and a veteran US Navy Pilot serving during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Moore Wolf; two sons Robert Wolf (Heather) of Richlands, NC and Art Wolf  (Christina) of Mission Viejo, CA; two daughters; Terry Williams (Jerry) of Portola, CA and Patty Taneka of San Clemente, CA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 928 Country Club Road, Andrews, SC.  
Graveside services were held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Oakridge Cemetery in Andrews. Rev.Theron Floyd officiated the service. Memorial donations may be made to: Grace and Mercy Ministries, 1411 South Hollywood Drive, Surfside Beach, SC 29575. Condolences may be made at: www.burroughsfh.com. The Burroughs Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Murrells Inlet is in charge of arrangements.

Viola Tucker

Viola Tucker, 94, of Georgetown, SC, died at her residence on Palm Street, July 9, 2013. Survivors include, three daughters; Ms. Joanne Tucker of Georgetown, SC, Mrs. Henrietta Holmes of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Mrs. Rebecca Miller of Columbia, SC; five sons, Charles Cooper of Hopewell, NY, Nathaniel Grant of Georgetown, SC, John and Robert Tucker both of Chesapeake, VA.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday July 13, 2013 at First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Lorenzo Smalls, Sr. Burial will follow at Bethel A.M.E. Church Cemetery. Viewing will take place in the sanctuary of First Calvary from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday. Funeral service arrangements are entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.
