Jerry Lambert Jr.

Jerry Lambert Jr., 79, husband of Dorothy Poole Lambert, passed away on December 24, 2012 at his home.
Born on November 3, 1933, in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late Jerry Lambert Sr. and the late Carrie Miller Lambert.
Mr. Lambert was a member of First Assembly of God and retired from International Paper Company after 34 years of service.
After retirement, Mr. Lambert’s love for people led him to become a greeter with Walmart in Georgetown for 17 years.
Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; three children, Michael W. Lambert (Marilyn) of Georgetown, Susan L. Stewart (John) of Pawleys Island and Jatanna L. Gilbert (Eddie) of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Michael W. Lambert, Jr. (Renee) of Georgetown, Nicholas Lambert (Tiffany) of Georgetown, Will Stewart of Pawleys Island, Stephen Stewart of Pawleys Island, Dwayne Gilbert of Georgetown and Kayla Gilbert of Georgetown; four great-grandchildren, Karlie Lambert, Kailee Lambert, Heaven Lambert and Brice Lambert; one sister, Arveta Avant of Redwood, Miss.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 52 years, Mary Lou Hartfield Lambert; two sons, Barry G. Lambert and Jeffery A. Lambert; a sister, Margie Avant; and two brothers, Kenneth Lambert and Ravon Lambert.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at First Assembly of God with Rev. Brad Morris and Rev. Dave Hoskins officiating.
Burial followed in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Graham Funeral Home.

Alice Mobley

Alice Faye Ard Mobley, age 73, of Townville, S.C. passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Born in Florence, S.C. on December 9, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Manning Ard and the late Azalee Benton Ard.  
She was a devoted Navy wife for 22 years.
She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Guy Hill Mobley of the home; her children, Guy H. Mobley II and his wife Cathy of Townville, Alice Elaine Morgan and her husband Dickie of Enoree, S.C. and Deborah Dee Wofford and her husband Wayne of Cross Hill, S.C.; a brother, Ronald Lee Ard and his wife Mary of Johnsonville, S.C.; two sisters, Doris Jones and her husband W.D. and Florence McDaniel, all of Johnsonville, S.C.; her grandchildren, Jeremy Wofford and his wife Wendy, Satchua Morgan, Megandee Morgan and Sarah Mobley; and great-grandson, Colin Wofford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Ard.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Double Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Kyle Caudell officiating.  
Interment will follow at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence and will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at The McDougald Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Double Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 535 Double Springs Road, Townville, SC 29689.

Donna Rogers

Donna Michelle Rogers, 36, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Born on May 27, 1976, in Georgetown, she was the daughter of Franklin E. Rogers and Diane McConnell Rogers.
Michelle was a member of Screven Baptist Church and the Beth Moore Sunday School Class.
Michelle enjoyed many things in life including NASCAR, watching the Clemson Tigers and baking.
Survivors include her mother and father of Georgetown; fiancé, Steven Howard of Andrews; two children, Francis M. Parker III and Daniel L. Parker, both of Georgetown; three special children, Dylan Howard of Andrews and Davis Howard and Blair Howard, both of Pawleys Island; one brother, Franklin E. “Sam” Rogers Jr. (Jessica) of Andrews; one niece, Anna E. Rogers of Andrews; one nephew, Jase C. Rogers of Andrews; and five special aunts, Donna K. Shuler (Charles), Ellen Carter (Jimmy), Mary Cohn (Howard), Kim Phillips (Buddy) and Lisa Ward (Dennis).
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John McConnell and Frances McConnell; paternal grandparents, James Smith and Geneva Smith; and one uncle, H.L. Alford.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Screven Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Williams and Rev. Jack Todd officiating.
Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Screven Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice House, 2591 N. Fraser St., Georgetown, SC 29440.
