DEATH NOTICE James Michael Jolly, 65, of Lancaster, S.C.

Marthena Davis Bryant, 82, of the Pee Dee Community, Georgetown, S.C. died on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital, Charleston, S.C.   Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Wilds Courtyard Chapel, Georgetown, S.C. Mrs. Bryant was born on April 11, 1930 in Hemingway, S.C. to the marital union of Etheride Davis and Nettie Gray Davis.  She was the widow of James J. Bryant.   Her early education was received in the Georgetown County public school system.   She was formerly a supervisor of housekeeping at Johns Hopkins University of Maryland.  Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Royster and Naomi Frazier, both of Hemingway, S.C., and Gwen Simmons (Reno), of Garden City, S.C.; three sons, Ed Bryant and Roy Bryant (Lethia), all of Hemingway, S.C., and Phillip Bryant (Lydia) of Pikesville, Md.; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.   Funeral services were entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.

Mary Mineroldi Mary Elizabeth Nichols Mineroldi joined her Heavenly Father Sunday December 9, 2012 following a courageous battle against ALS.   Mary was born April 20th, 1943 in Roanoke, Va. and enjoyed the past seven years with her husband and countless friends in Murrell’s Inlet, SC.   Mary loved the beach and ocean, and passed that affection on to her sons and grandchildren. Mary attended Salem College in Salem, W.Va. where she met and married Lloyd Mineroldi in 1963.   Mary could accomplish anything she set forth to do and enjoyed many fulfilling years working in the medical field.   She was full of optimism, energy and humor.   Her interests included gardening, cooking, and home décor; but above all else she was devoted to loving and caring for her family.   She was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Salem, Va. serving as a Eucharist Minister and became an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Garden City, S.C. Mary is survived by her husband Lloyd Mineroldi, sons and their spouses and children Todd and Kim Mineroldi and Zach, Mark and Chris Mineroldi and Brinley; her brother Aubrey Nichols; and her very special and dedicated friend Rosemary Vincent. A memorial service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to ALS  SC Chapter, 1023 Wapoo Rd., Charleston, SC 29407. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Gene Prosser  Gene McCoy Prosser, 73, died Friday, December 14, 2012 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Mr. Prosser was born in Florence on May 26, 1939, a son of the late Allard McCoy Prosser and Amanda Magnolia Powell Prosser.  He was educated in Georgetown County Public Schools and was a member of Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was active in Fishers of Men Sunday School and Men's Fellowship.  Mr. Prosser's favorite hobby was chair caning. Surviving are a sister, Janice Hodge of Awendaw; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, December 16, 2012, at Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church.   Officiating will be the Rev. Lonnie Brazell, the Rev. Clide Glover, and the Rev. David Prosser.   Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Annex. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Arthur Wilson   Arthur Dubose “A.D” Wilson, 81, husband of Bertha Ward Wilson passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012 at his home. Born on May 20, 1931, in Williamsburg County, he was a son of the late Arthur James Wilson and the late Bertie Mae Martin Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a member of Saint's Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was a member of the Dorothy & Larry Lambert Sunday School Class and the church choir.  He also served as a church musician. Mr. Wilson was a retired machinist with the Detyen's Shipyard as well as instrumental in organizing the Gospel Filling Station in Lamberttown. He was also involved in the Lamberttown Community Center. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; two sons, Bruce Cusack (Dianne) of Georgetown and Randy Wilson (Elaine) of Andrews; two daughters, Rita Wilson (Phillip) of Georgetown and Penny Cox (Randy) of Andrews; one sister, Frances Cumbie (Dan) of Andrews; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Will Cusack; three brothers, Woodrow Wilson, Charles Wilson and Bishop Wilson; and a sister, Vera Howard. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Saint's Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Browder officiating. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Saint's Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice, 2591 N.
