Aubrey “Sonny” Cox
Aubrey “Sonny” Cox, 70, of Georgetown, a beloved father and the husband of Josephine “Josie” Crews Cox, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 25, 2013, at the Agape Senior Health Center.
Mr. Cox was born the son of Troy Cox and Herman Bouchette Cox on July 30, 1943 in Andrews, S.C.
He was a 1962 graduate of Williamsburg High School where he was a star running back for the Williamsburg Lions.
He was a retired employee of Georgetown Steel Mill, Casting Division.
Mr. Cox was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. His life is a legacy of devoted fatherhood for all his family, cherished friendships, commitment to his Christian beliefs, and enjoyed watching his TV Western shows and movies.
Aubrey and Josephine were married on August 24, 1962 and celebrated 51 years together.
Their home was blessed with two children, Jerry (Penny) Cox and Sherry (Vernon) Player; six grandchildren, Josh, Justin, Nick, Tiffany, Anna, and Jonathan; and two great granddaughters, Savannah and Gracelyn. He is also survived by one brother, Woody (Svetta) Cox; one sister, Carol (Ira) Prosser; and a large extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents; his mother-in-law, Virginia Crews; a grandson, Josh; and a brother, W.T. Cox.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at the Andrews Memorial Cemetery, directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 evening at the Georgetown Chapel.

Henry “Jackie” Howard
Henry James “Jackie” Howard, 72, of Andrews, the beloved husband of Linda Joyce Martin Howard, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, August 22, 2013, at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston.
Mr. Howard was born the son of Pratt John Howard and Getty Evelyn Howard Howard on November 7, 1940 in Andrews.
He was a retired crane operator with Superior Crane and a member of the National Guard.
He leaves behind his wife; a brother, John Pratt (Sandra) Howard Jr.; a sister, Nina Howard Pope; a sister-in-law, Glenda Howard; two brother-in-laws, Fred Howell and Richard Blackman; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Johnny Elwood Howard; three sisters, Doris Howard Howell, Joan Blackman, and Nora Lee Howard; and a brother-in-law, Jimmy Pope.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at the Six Mile Crossing Church of God, directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
The Howard Family received family and friends immediately after the service in the church sanctuary.

Guy Leroy McClanahan, 85, of Andrews, the beloved husband of Sharon Gail Bourne McClanahan, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, August 26, 2013, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. McClanahan was born the son of John McClanahan and Ida Wadkins McClanahan on May 16, 1928 in Bancroft, West Virginia.
He was a United States Army veteran.
He leaves behind his wife; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at noon on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at the Sampit United Church Cemetery, directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the Andrews Chapel.

Jacqueline R. McEnroe, age 91, of Murrells Inlet died Friday, August 23, 2013 at Waccamaw Community Hospital.
Born in Portland, Me., she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret Jarvis.
Mrs. McEnroe graduated from Gorham College in Gorham, Me.
She taught school at The Welsey School in Boston and worked as a director of a USO Center in Washington D.C. She was blessed with 50 years of marriage.
Mrs. McEnroe was preceded in death by her husband, John T. McEnroe and her son, John T. McEnroe Jr.
Survivors include her two daughters, Joan Hodges of Pawleys Island and Jane Housner and her husband Tom of Pawleys Island; granddaughters, Cara Mostafa and Mary Everett; two great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Joseph Scanlon.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church.

Cheryl Ann Moore, 46, of Andrews died Monday, August 26, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Moore was born in Manning on January 29, 1967, a daughter of Tim E. Moore, Sr. and Mary Lou Clemons Moore.
She graduated from Andrews High School and attended Winthrop University.
Mrs. Moore worked in Human Resources for Kingstree Nursing Facility and worked in the past for Winyah Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant Manor, and Prince George Healthcare Center.
She lived in Georgetown for a while before returning to Andrews, where she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was a dedicated Christian and loved her church. Mrs. Moore was an avid Clemson fan and loved the beach.
In addition to her parents of Andrews, surviving are her husband, Charles E. “Bubba” Moore Jr. of Andrews; a daughter, Maggie Wilkinson of Andrews (Clemson University); a son, McFaddin Moore of Andrews; a brother, Timothy Moore of Andrews; two sisters, Dana Williamson (Scott) of Kingstree and Lori Harper (Stephen) of Andrews; two nephews, Hunter Watford of Kingstree and Sloan Harper of Andrews; and two nieces, Carlynn and Hollis Harper, both of Andrews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday morning, August 29, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Ben Gafford.
Burial will follow at Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening, August 28, 2013, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
