Ferrante Gilliard, age 49, of Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Hemingway, S.C.


Ida Johnson

Ida Tucker Johnson, 79, of Georgetown, S.C. died Monday, April 22, 2013 at Tidelands Hospice House.  
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 at New Mount Zion A.M.E. Church in the Beneventum Community.    
She was born March 28, 1934 in Georgetown to the marital union of Willie Tucker and Mrs. Hattie Gilliard Tucker.
Since early youth, Mrs. Johnson served on various auxiliaries and was a member of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, where her family worshipped.  
She was a homemaker and was employed as a housekeeper for many years.
She was married to the late Cephus Johnson Sr.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Johnson of Georgetown; two sons, Cephus Johnson Jr. and Cleveland Johnson, both of Georgetown; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Tucker Foster and Ms. Hattie Tucker, both of Georgetown, and Mrs. Hopie Tucker Cassell of Bronx, N.Y.; five brothers, Willie Tucker of Georgetown, Jacob Tucker of Brooklyn, N.Y., Ernest Tucker of Rockaway, N.Y., Robert Tucker of Bronx, and Samuel Tucker of Jamaica, N.Y.
Funeral services are entrusted to Wilds Funeral Home, LLC.

Cherry McKnight

Cherry Leslie Bellflower McKnight, widow of Herman P. McKnight, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at her home.
Born on July 21, 1921, in Georgetown County, she was a daughter of the late Peter Thomas Bellflower and the late Lottie Elizabeth Owens Bellflower.
Mrs. McKnight was a member of Screven Baptist Church and the Deborah Sunday School Class.
She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Mrs. McKnight was a shining example of a devoted Christian woman who lived her life in service to others.
Survivors include six children, Katherine Bell (Tom) of Ladson, Sandra Landress of North Augusta, Judy Ulrich (Glenn) of James Island, Linda Jones (Jack) of Georgetown, Shirley Stanton (Don) of Wilmington and Terry McKnight (Nickie) of McClellanville; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Bennie Bellflower of Ashville, N.C.; a number of nieces and nephews; and her poodle, Charlie.
She was preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Sophia McKnight and Marin Hadden; one sister, Nita McSwain; and two brothers, Grover Bellflower and Albert Bellflower.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain John Edwards and Elder Mike Goude officiating.
Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to express their love and gratitude to Hospice Care of South Carolina, especially Frances Robinson and Kayla Mau.
Flowers are accepted and monetary donations may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 722 N. Fraser St. Georgetown, SC 29440.

Harry Wallace

Harry Volt Wallace, 87, husband of Barbara Bellflower Wallace, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Born on August 19, 1925, in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late Willie Wallace and the late Annie Roberts Wallace.
Mr. Wallace was a US Navy veteran having served in World War II.
He retired from International Paper Company after 45 years of service.
Mr. Wallace enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; three children, Michael H. Wallace of Georgetown, Sherhal W. Bone (Ricky) of Georgetown and Darrell J. Wallace of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Amy Forsyth of Charleston, Bryan Bone (Mandy) of Georgetown, Shanna Wallace of Stuart, Va. and Cory Bone (Hannah Maree) of Georgetown; three great-grandchildren, Aaron Forsyth, Adam Forsyth and Peyton Bone; one sister, Queenie Gibson of Greenville; two special family members, Margaret Wallace of Charleston and Connie Wallace of Stuart, Va.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Cleo Wallace and John Henry Wallace.
Graveside services will be private.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Graham Funeral Home.
