Man, 18, found shot to death in Pawleys Island; Suspects at large

An autopsy is taking place now to determine exactly how an 18 year old Pawleys Island man died, although he was found with gunshot wounds.
County Coroner Kenny Johnson said at about 1 p.m., it may be “several hours” before the autopsy results are available.
According to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were sent to Parkersville Road in Pawleys Island at about 12:45 a.m. today where they found the body of James Earl Richardson Jr. lying by the roadway.
Johnson said Richardson was shot.
No suspects have been identified but the investigation is underway.
