Overnight fire under investigation

The Georgetown City Fire Department continues to investigate a fire that severely damaged a home in the West End.
Fire Chief Joey Tanner says the fire at 220 Davis Alley was reported at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
Smoke was coming from the home when firefighters arrived. Tanner said it took about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze but some workers remained on the scene until after midnight putting out hot spots.
About one-third of the home received fire damage and the rest of the structure sustained smoke damage, Tanner said.
No injuries were reported.
