From the Georgetown County Public Information Office:
An hour-long search for a 17-year-old missing swimmer in Litchfield ended happily a few minutes ago when the boy was reunited with his family. Apparently, his path in the water took him out of eyesight of his family and he didn't realize people were searching for him, according to Midway Chief Doug Eggiman. Midway was assisted in the search by the Pawleys Island Police Department, Georgetown County Sheriff's Office and the Coast Guard, which was on route to the scene.
