Hail storm hits northern Georgetown County

  • Monday, November 5, 2012

  • Updated Monday, November 5, 2012 2:32 am

A severe storm that moved through Georgetown County between 5 and 6 p.m. this evening produced heavy rain, string winds and hail in some areas. This photo shot by Tabitha Miller shows the aftermath of the storm in the Murrells Inlet area. The accumulating hail looks like snow. More storms are possible through the evening. Monday is expected to be OK but heavy rain is in the forecast for Election day.
