Three men accused of a home invasion early Monday are still at large.
The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office says the crime happened at about 3 a.m. Monday at a residence on Amelia Drive — which is off of Highmarket Street.
According to Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson, three men forced their way into the home where one person was asleep and two others were in the living room.
The victim who was asleep was forced, at gunpoint, into the living room where the two others were located.
“All three victims were then tied up. The suspects demanded money and an undisclosed amount of cash was provided,” Cuthbertson said.
The suspects then kidnapped one of the victims. They forced that victim to drive their vehicle to a home on Foxfire Court off of Mercer Avenue. The kidnapped victim was then left tied up at a home and the suspects got into another vehicle and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The suspects are described as two black males and one white male and all three were wearing masks.
The white male suspect is described as 5’05” to 5’06” with sandy blond hair.
One black male suspect is described as approximately 5’11” and 215 pounds.
The second black male suspect is described as 5’09 to 5’10” with a slim build.
Two of the victims were assaulted and transported to Georgetown Memorial Hospital to be treated for their injuries.
In an attempt to locate the suspects or witnesses, deputies canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspects or anyone who witnessed the incident.
This case is currently under investigation and anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (843) 546-5102.
