Alleged carjacking and murder suspect surrenders

The Myrtle Beach Police Department says 24-year-old Swava Lamere McCrea turned himself in this afternooon.
Earlier today police identified him as the suspect in the carjacking and shooting death of 21-year-old Joshua Pyatt of Pawleys Island.
The carjacking occurred on Vereen Street on June 23. Pyatt was found dead two days later at the West Wind Apartments off 17th Avenue South in Myrtle Beach.

More details will be released about the arrest when we get them.
