UPDATE: Police arrest alleged Front Street vandals

Georgetown police have arrested the three people they say were caught on video vandalizing the C. Spencer Guerry monument on Front Street last week.
Frank Jones, 34, Rafael Villavisencio 26, and Leonardo Fransico, 26, all of Georgetown were taken into custody early this morning and charged with malicious injury to property, police said.
Two students, one from Georgetown High School and one from Horry Georgetown Technical College, were returning from fishing and and saw the three suspects walking on Front Street.
The two students saw the video and recognized the suspects and called law enforcement. The two students then directed police to the suspects.
Officers had to chase Fransico who fled on foot but was quickly apprehended. He is also charged with hindering a police investigation.
 The suspects have been booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center.
